Builder Base Upgrade Priority Guide
Builder Base planning should be tied to a goal. Some players want B.O.B as quickly as possible, some want trophy progress, and others want a balanced base. The right upgrade order changes depending on that goal.
The most efficient plan keeps offense strong enough to win battles while moving steadily toward the structural requirements that matter.
B.O.B-focused planning
If your goal is the sixth builder, write down the exact requirements and treat unrelated upgrades as optional. Random defensive upgrades may feel useful, but they can delay the account-wide value of unlocking an extra Home Village builder.
Offense before polish
- Keep your main attack troop upgraded.
- Upgrade Battle Machine and Battle Copter enough for consistent attacks.
- Avoid spreading resources across every troop if you only use two army styles.
- Use defensive upgrades to protect trophies after offense can already win.
Resource rhythm
Builder Base rewards and storage limits make timing important. Keep one short upgrade available when resources are awkward, and reserve longer upgrades for times when you will be away from the game.
FAQ
Is Builder Base worth planning if I only care about Home Village?
Yes. B.O.B can eventually add major value to Home Village progress, so a focused Builder Base plan can pay off across the whole account.
Should I upgrade every troop?
Usually no. Upgrade the troops you actually use first, then fill in secondary options after your main army is reliable.
