TH12 Laboratory Priority for Farming and War Armies
Town Hall 12 laboratory time is one of the account's biggest bottlenecks. The number of available upgrades is large enough that researching everything casually can leave your main armies behind for weeks.
The safest plan is to upgrade the armies you actually use first, then fill in secondary options after farming and war attacks are stable.
Research the active army first
Pick one farming army and one war army. Upgrade the troops and spells in those armies before spending research time on troops you rarely train. This gives every raid and war attack more value from the laboratory.
Good early categories
- Main farming troop and support spell.
- Core war troop for your strongest attack style.
- Spells that appear in several armies, such as Rage, Freeze, or Poison where relevant.
- Siege-related planning through clan donations and attack style needs.
Avoid split progress
A common TH12 mistake is leveling five different army styles halfway. That creates variety, but none of the armies feel strong. Finish one practical path before branching into experiments.
FAQ
Should farming or war research come first?
Research the army you use most often first. If farming is weak, every other upgrade becomes harder to fund.
Is it worth using a Book of Fighting early?
It is strongest on long research that directly improves your main army, not on a troop you rarely deploy.
