Clan War Attack Planning Checklist
Good war attacks start before the battle timer. A clean plan identifies the entry, the base section that must fall, spell timing, hero ability timing, and the cleanup path. Without that structure, even a strong army can drift away from the Town Hall or miss key defenses.
Use this checklist with a base screenshot, then mark the plan before discussing it with clanmates.
Scout before choosing an army
- Find Town Hall, Clan Castle, Spell Towers, Monolith, Scattershots, Infernos, and Eagle Artillery where applicable.
- Look for pathing traps that pull troops away from the core.
- Check whether heroes can create funnel value.
- Plan how cleanup troops survive after the main push.
Spell timing matters
Spells should be tied to moments, not dropped because they are available. Mark where the first Rage, Freeze, Heal, Invisibility, Jump, or Poison should happen and what problem each spell solves.
Review the failure point
Before attacking, ask which defense or pathing issue is most likely to ruin the plan. A good plan includes a response for that failure point, such as a saved Freeze, backup funnel, or delayed cleanup.
FAQ
Should I copy a popular army without changing it?
No. Start from a known army, then adjust entry, spells, siege machine, and cleanup for the actual base.
What should be marked on an attack map?
Mark entry, funnel, spell drops, hero path, key defenses, and cleanup. Those are the decisions most likely to affect execution.
